I’m a creative and focused hairdresser with a keen attention to detail and natural flair for my job. I’ve spent the last 13 years working for a massive industry leader and have worked with some of the best colour technicians in the world. Over this time I have developed my skills and gained the title Wella Master Colour Expert.
With this I look after the chemical areas in the salon, from bold and bright or subtle and soft, I love it all. I personally believe that colour is one of the most important services in the salon. It has the power to turn a great cut into an absolutely amazing cut. I work hard on keeping up to date on new fashions and techniques. I also enjoy working classically, and working with what is suitable and wearable for the clients hair to look great everyday.
I’ve been hairdressing for over 10 years now working for prestige hair brands Toni & Guy and Aveda which has helped me pick up many different skills over the years. I look after the cutting side of things in the salon, from curly to straight, long to short and men’s hair has become a really big thing over the past few years which is great for us. Short hair is definitely my thing, it’s one of the things I’ve always loved from way back in my junior days. There’s just something about it that can make a person stand out.
I take inspiration from everything around me, from people, music to magazines. I’ve always loved my job and now I have my own salon and can do things the way I’ve always wanted to is the best thing any hairdresser could ask for.
I have been hairdressing for 7 years and love the industry. I worked for Toni & Guy for 2 years where I received a high standard of training as a stylist. I wanted to further my career, so I then went to work for Saks. Here I received a colour specialist degree and further stylist training.
I enjoy doing all aspects of hair, from colouring, styling, hair up and gents. Hair ups are a great way to show off your creativity. I take inspiration by looking up on new seasonal trends, magazines and following big brands on instagram such as GHD, to see the work they are doing.
I’ve been hairdressing 4 years now. I previously worked at Toni and guy for just over 2 years, where I received training in cutting and colouring. I have always love the hair industry and always wanted to be a hairdresser. I do most aspects of hairdressing in the salon, from cutting/styling and hair ups, to colouring. From short hair to long, as well as gents. Colouring and styling long hair is what I love to do the most as I feel I can do more with it.
A lot of my inspiration comes from social media and magazines. Instagram is an amazing way to keep up with all the new styles and trends especially with colour. I follow pages such as Wella to see the new colours they launch and how it would help me with my clients.
I’m the stylist director at Bloww Doncaster .. So I’ve been hairdressing for 6 year , I’ve been lucky to work for one of the biggest names in the game, and some of the most influential people in hairdressing. I’ve also been lucky enough to be a member of art team which has given me a hands on approach to Fashion and up coming trends… which for legal reason I can’t mention but if your from Doncaster I’m sure you’ll recognize me.
I love all aspects of hairdressing from creative to classic shapes to gents barbering, I love it when you have a client that hasn’t had a good haircut in a while, and your able to transform how they look and feel… it’s probably the best thing about the job.
My focus for the coming year as much as of course is salon work , is work as a session stylish so working on fashion weeks and shoots with the legendary Tyler Johnson and product brand label, I’ve already had a taste of it and I’m really enjoying the work . And have already been a L’Oréal men’s finalist 2015, it’s a huge confidence boost… so 2016/17 watch this space!!
